More About Todd
I am currently “living the dream” in Midland, Texas. I have four great kids ranging in age from 20 to 6, I know I’m too old to have a six-year-old. However, she has kept us young. I have been married to the same woman for 22 years and plan for at least that many more.
You read I umpired professionally for ten years and also college baseball off and on for another seven years. I have always felt that life is too short to live the way we were taught when we were young: get a job, buy a house, retire and play golf. I love golf, but I am not doing the same thing my whole life, too many interests and talents to do that. I want to use the talents and desires God gave me and they don’t include doing what I’m told, they include doing what I’m drawn to do.
I have a love for pastors and teachers and how hard it is to do both jobs well. I have taught in the public schools for several years and been a pastor and youth pastor for 15 plus years. It is hard to be behind the lectern, in the pulpit or throwing a football with youth kids. You are almost always underpaid and underappreciated in all of these endeavors. Maybe you want to radically change what you are doing, or want to tweak your teaching career or pastorate, then I can help.
Don’t wait to see if it gets better, it doesn’t unless you take concrete steps and change what you are doing to have a more desirable future. Perhaps you don’t need a new career, maybe you need to change how you are doing what you do or maybe you need a radical change. Remember, if you keep doing what you are doing and expect a different result then, well I think they say that is the definition of insanity.
If you need a change with more purpose in your life I can help. Below are a few ways to get in touch with me and get the ball rolling. If you want even more info about me, visit my personal blog at: www.toddbfreese.com or check out the new podcast I started with my wife at www.twoteachersintexas.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
